Our beautiful Gertrude came to us when her family sadly fell on hard times, and weren't able to keep her or her friends Sunny and Gabriel. She's about 12 years old but this beautiful girl can't wait to join your family! Gertrude spent her whole life with her family, and although her life has been turned upside down she has been very adaptable to shelter life! She's a bit "chonky" so she is on her weight loss journey right now but has already lost some weight since she's been with us! They've only ever lived with other cats and adults, but given how quickly she acclimated to the shelter, we think Gertrude would be happy in most homes given a slow introduction to her new environment. Gertrude is a sweet older lady whose purr can be heard across the room! Just start petting her and she'll show you how happy she is for the attention.
