My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Sports Sad But Delicious Weekend

This was definitely an action packed weekend. Anytime your radio stations can make dreams come true and award a listener the trip to Walt Disney World, it's a wonderful feeling. Congratulations to Jean Marie Carroll-Matthews in Sandyston, who ended up being our grand prize winner. I was sad for all of our finalists who didn't win, but so happy for Jean Marie and her family. All of our finalists were great and so appreciative that they made the grand finale running. Friday night I ran into some of my besties at The Irish Cottage Inn in Franklin. It was a low key nice Friday night for me after a fun, but long day at work.

Saturday I did some retail therapy at Marshall's and Kohl's in Newton. Perfect way to round out my Saturday morning ahead of the annual Skylands Stadium Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival. I was eyeing the Cousins Maine Lobster truck all the way. I did Connecticut style Lobster roll. The Maine style is with mayo and celery, the Connecticut Style is just lobster meat with butter. Yes please! It was fantastic. The price point is higher than I would normally do for a lobster roll, but we knew the quality would be terrific. It's easier for me to pay a higher price when I know that the food will be great quality. I had a great time running into work besties Shawn and Mia, also running into besties Denise and Roy. The weather ended up being cooperative for all of us. No rain just basically hooded sweatshirt weather. That works for me! Delicious food with fun friends, that's a nice little Saturday for me! I was home in time for the Boston Celtics to disappoint me. To lose when you're largely favored over a Philadelphia 76ers Team just stings. It was so painful you basically couldn't wait for the season to just simply end. I wish the New York Knicks the best of luck in their upcoming battle against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Sunday ended up being an unexpected lost day for me. My allergies were hurting me by Saturday night, but they really kicked my caboose the rest of this weekend. I was supposed to go see Girlfriend Brooks in Hackettstown. I was able to get delicious fudge and cheesecake from Sue's House Of Fudge, and spicy garlic pickles from Jerzey Girl Pickles. I ended up sleeping all through Sunday straight. I called Girlfriend Brooks to tell her that I was okay. I started getting ready around 5ish noticing that the sky was darker than I expected it to be. Turns out, it was 5am Monday morning! Wow. I'm still stuffed up today with my allergies.

Overall I had a good weekend despite basically losing half of it. I enjoyed the Kentucky Derby before my playoffs basketball disappointment.

Friday night the Boston Bruins lost in the playoffs ending their season, then The Boston Celtics did the same exact thing losing their season too. Between that and The Boston Red Sox being dreadful, these days aren't too much fun for Boston sports fans like us. Ah well. Now I need to watch the Boston Red Sox make me miserable all year!

I'm definitely very excited to make the trek up home to Boston next weekend and seeing my family! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
