You could retire and live on a cruise ship

According to an article in the New York Post year round cruising isn't as expensive as you might think. Experts say it's possible to book cruises for about $100.00 a day. Which adds up to $3,000.0 a month. Which could be what it costs to live in many places.  Remember on a cruise ship food, entertainment and utilities are included. Sometimes you can even get a deal for $75.00 a day. Which is about the cost of a senior independent living facility.  Plus, if you use the same cruise line those loyalty points ad up. That could mean thousands in additional perks and upgrades. Although there is no cruise line that offers the option of year round cruising right now I could see something like this in the future.  It might be a way to use older cruise ships which are still very nice. If this was an option I could see myself selling my house and calling a cabin on a cruise ship home most of the time. Even doing this 6 or 9 months out of the year and staying with my kids the rest of the time would be pretty cool. For now I'll just keep working and dreaming!
