New York's City's favorite meat lovers meals

There are more and more healthy options out there in the world of food and that's a good thing.  However, in moderation, it's still nice to treat yourself every once in a while.  On those days I usually have a nice steak or gourmet burger. When I eat out steaks and burgers are always the first section I look at on the menu. Followed by savory chicken dishes.

We have some great restaurants here in Sussex County for sure. I've enjoy many great meals at The Chatterbox and Krave. Tony's Pizza in Hamburg is still my favorite for pizza and Italian Food.

Now that it's summer many of us (myself included) will be going into New York City a few times. On those occasions you might want to add to the whole experience by having a meal you can't get anywhere else. In that case here are some suggestions:

1. At Maxwell's Chop House it's the 120 day aged Porterhouse. It's almost 2 pounds, sliced in classic Porterhouse style seasoned with cracked pepper and kosher salt. You can select from several classic sauces to enjoy your steak with. $144.00 but it will probably feed 2 or three people.

2. Prime Rib at The Grill. Split roasted-oven crisped seasoned with a rub made with a Worcestershire sauce rub, pureed garlic and Dijon Mustard. It's 14 ounces and enough for 2 to share for $62.00

3. The Cheeseburger at Four Charles Prime Rib. The New York Post says "easily the best in New York City." It's 2 four ounce prime rib burgers with American Cheese and Canadian Bacon. It's not easy getting a seat to enjoy one. $25.40

4. French Dip at Maison Pickle. 8 ounces of Sirloin sliced very thin served on a 9 inch house made baguette. Served with Au Jus of course. You'll have to bring some home because it's too much for one person to eat and only $18.00.
