What to eat this summer for better skin and hair

     The founders of the fitness and wellness site "Tone it Up" suggest we eat these foods to combat the effects of the summer on our hair, skin and nails. Some are more appetizing than others!

1. Portobello Mushrooms- They have plenty of vitamin D which can stimulate hair follicle growth and prevent hair loss. Too bad I didn't know this 20 summers ago!

2. Brazil Nuts- The selenium in these tasty nuts will help decrease breakouts and acne.

3. Aloe Vera- It's not so tasty but if you throw some in your smoothies your skin will thank you for it. 

4. Garlic- will help heal your skin. Especially if you eat it raw. That's when your skin will benefit most from the antioxidants.  The compound allicin in garlic is also a strong anti inflammatory.
