Nutritionist Keith Kantor pointed out the dangers of these food we see everyday in our kitchens.
1. Cherry pits- They contain hydrogen Cyanide. So do other pits like peach, plum and apricot. The good news is you would have to eat a lot of pits before they would kill you.
2. Alfalfa sprouts-This common garnish is a bacteria breeding ground. Sprouts have been blamed for dozens of food borne illness break outs including Salmonella and E-coli.
3. Hot Dogs-Johns Hopkins Medicine says these are the number one cause of choking injuries for kids under 3. The World Health Organization also says they're a Group 1 Carcinogen.
4. Shellfish- Allergies make them dangerous. Raw or under cooked shell fish can also absorb harmful bacteria and microbes from the sea.
Looks like my favorite meal of a cheeseburger and french fries isn't so bad!
