Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio says these are the three most common things that hold us back in the kitchen.
1. We don't cook enough. Like anything else, the more you cook the better you get at cooking.
2. Just remember the basics. We don't need a lot of fancy equipment but a good sharp knife is essential.
3. We're too focused on following recipes. Tom says a recipe is just a guideline. If you're missing an ingredient you can improvise. You can experiment too.
