I knew this was going to be a busy weekend even before my hot water heater stopped working Wednesday night. The good news is my hot water is back on and my daughter and grand daughter are visiting all week.
My weekend officially began with our 10th annual "Stuff the Bus" campaign. I did live broadcasts in very windy conditions Friday morning but by the end of the day we stuffed two buses. Then on Saturday I was at Shop Rite in Franklin for Stuff the Bus day 2. The store was beautifully decorated and we were right under a Poinsettia Christmas Tree.
Then I drove to Long Island to pick up my daughter and grand daughter who will be visiting all week. I don't like the drive but I marvel at the bridges. My drive takes me over the George Washington and Throgs Neck bridges. It amazes me that we can build structures like this.
Then on Sunday I cooked a fresh ham for the first time in about 10 years. Everyone in the family likes ham but I have to be in the mood for it. My ham with maple honey glaze was a real hit. All in all it was a pleasant and productive weekend.
The happiest part of the weekend was taking a hot shower. You don't appreciate that luxury until its gone.
