The weekend started out pretty crazy for me. I had to be at the WSUS Home and Garden Show to begin my live broadcast at 8 in the morning. Since my waterbed broke last weekend I've been sleeping on the couch with my cell phone as the alarm. Saturday morning when I got up my phone fell behind the couch and I forgot to take it with me to the Home and Garden Show. So I have no pictures from the Home and Garden Show. I did make a funny video with Steve Allan when he got there.
Friday Night I ordered a new mattress on line from a local store and it was ready for pick up Saturday afternoon. Rather than wait for the delivery I asked my sons Matt and James to help me pick it up and bring it home. We used ratchet straps to secure the mattress to the top of my Jeep and drove it home. Matt and James refused to get in the picture because they did not want to be embarrassed transporting a mattress: "The red neck way."
The rest of Saturday was spent at the laundry washing all my bedding and then setting up my new bed. I took a picture of my laundry in the triple washer. The Mets pillow and blanket I threw in at the last minute made the picture look like a Tide Pod! I slept on my new mattress for the first time on Saturday Night. It's much firmer than my old waterbed My dog Maddie didn't know what to make of this. I think she misses the old waterbed.
On Sunday I went to get my cat Daisy her first scratching post. Hopefully, she will stop scratching my couch. Then it was off to the supermarket Sunday afternoon. The trip was very exciting. Plenty of buy one get one and even buy one get two free deals!
