Steve Andrews weekend in 5 pictures

Sometimes you just have to relax on the weekend. I almost spent the whole weekend relaxing except for about an hour continuing my deck staining project late Friday Night.  I wanted my deck to look nice for my friend's visit on Saturday.

Seeing to long time friends in one weekend was very nice. On Friday after work I enjoy a late lunch with Frank Garrity. Frank graduated from Seton Hall a year before me. We worked together at WSUS for 8 years. Frank has been a radio sportscaster for over 20 years including a long run on 1010 WINS in New York City.

On Saturday Rich Rosenfeld took 4 trains to visit me in Matamoras. Rich graduated from Seton Hall a year after me. He worked as a producer for United Stations in New York for several years when he got out of college. Then he went back to school to get his Master's degree. He's been a school teacher on Long Island for over 20 years. We went out to lunch and enjoyed catching up in my pool. Then he took 4 trains back to Long Island. He loves taking the train and so do I.

I also had a relaxing dinner out with my own family on Sunday evening.  Once you start relaxing you don't want to stop! On Saturday morning I did get a chance to pick some fresh cucumbers from my garden. We've been waiting for them to be ready so I could make our first home made cucumber salad of the season. The smell of the fresh cucumbers as I peeled them was amazing. The cucumber salad was delicious too.

My daughter also tried a new hair style for Gracie on Saturday. Kim is really amazing when it comes to making Gracie's hair look wonderful every day. I think Kim really has a talent for hair styling. I hope one day it turns into a career for her because she really seems to enjoy it.
