Franklin and Ogdensburg Ponds closed for now

It's not "Karma" it's just Mother Nature. We've seen it happen in Sussex County before. When Mother Nature decides it's time for torrential rain inconvenience often follows. Fortunately, the inconvenience shouldn't last very long.

After Friday Night's downpour water running off a nearby road created it's own canal with the sand on the beach.  In Ogdensburg, storm runoff washed debris into Heater's Pond.

The damaged beach at the Franklin Pond has already been regraded. The debris clean-up at Heater's Pond in Ogdensburg is still underway.  Both Ponds will reopen after inspections confirm they are once again safe for swimmers.
