After spending Labor Day Weekend on the west coast and all the rain last weekend it was time to catch up at my house. So I cleaned out all the vegetable garden beds and flower beds. All I have to do now is cover the dirt with cardboard. It will prevent weeds from growing and break down into the soil by spring. On Saturday I also got my hair cut.
The other big project was closing the pool. Yesterday was so beautiful I took one last swim before starting the cleaning and draining process. The cleaner the pool is when you cover it in September the cleaner it will be when you open it in May. I was wearing my Sussex County Miners hat to help celebrate their first Can-Am League Championship.
Before I went to church yesterday morning I saw Steve Allan come on Facebook live making scrambled eggs again. He had his girlfriend Megan there to help him of course. He forgot to turn off the burner and dropped some eggs on the floor but all in all did a respectable job. Steve's video inspired me to get creative with eggs too. I used the remaining fresh green peppers from my garden, ham and cheddar cheese to make some delicious scrambled eggs for dinner. Maybe Steve Allan will be able to cook an egg dish like that by the time he's 50.
One more thing. Kim and Gracie left to visit Long Island yesterday. Maddie has gotten very attached to them. I took a picture of her on the couch after they left. My mom used to say: "Position is everything in life!"
