Steve Andrews busy weekend in 5 pictures

On Friday I hosted our Stuff the Bus Preview Event at The Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. This is the 3rd year they have helped us make Stuff the Bus happen. Jake, Dana and their staff as well as the residents are always enthusiastic supporters. This year the resident council donated $100 and the Homestead matched their donation.  There's a box in the lobby for your non perishable food donations.  You can drop off frozen turkeys too. The Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is on Morris Turnpike by the Main Branch of the Sussex County Library in Frankford.

On Saturday I really got my hands dirty. Something I've never been afraid to do.  My neighbor across the street has been totally renovating her house.  The house was an eyesore. It sat vacant for many years and now she is in the process of making the house and property very nice. It will take time. Last week she asked me and my sons to help her move a huge pile of debris into a large dumpster. On Saturday that's what we did.  It was pretty gross and took about three hours  I was happy to help a neighbor make our community nicer.

On Sunday I went to church and tried to rest up for what is going to be a very busy week. I took out 3 window air conditioners and brought them downstairs. Then took Miss Gracie and my daughter Kim out for ice cream. It was fun, but as you would expect with a three year old, that got a little messy too.

The weekend's most adorable picture happened when we got home. Maddie was in my spot on the couch and Gracie decided she wanted to be there too. So she just sat on top of Maddie and played with her tablet.  Maddie didn't mind a bit.
