The snow Thursday afternoon and Friday morning exhausted me. The annual WSUS Morning Show Stuff the Bus live broadcast from First Hope Bank had to be cancelled because it was still snowing. I did head over to First Hope after doing all the school closings from the studio. I always enjoy thanking our listeners in person for their generosity. The youngest listener who stopped by was Josh from Sparta. He was so happy to give and help others. The selfie we took with Josh really captured how happy he was to help Stuff the Bus.
On Saturday I spent the morning at Shop Rite in Franklin doing a live Stuff the Bus broadcast. The people in Franklin is always some of the most generous supporters of our annual tradition. This year was no exception. The Facebook live video I did with Steve Allan was pretty hilarious too. Joan from the Sussex County Division of Social Services joined us early in the morning and was there until 7 o'clock that night. It was all worth it because we filled a large bus!
On Sunday I went to church and tried to relax a little. Sunday morning Gracie and Maddie were pretty hilarious playing in the living room. She was trying to cover Maddie with her little blanket and Maddie kept running away from her. That's my son James in the background. The patio chair is in the living room because the snowstorm motivated me to finish bringing in the patio furniture for the winter. Later in the day we took Gracie with us food shopping. Seeing her fascination with the snow in my driveway brought back memories of my kids when they were three. Every footprint she made in the snow amazed her. I also redeemed my Shop Rite points to get a free turkey for my family. Which is now defrosting in my downstairs refrigerator.
