I had hoped Kim and Gracie would be home by this weekend but they have to stay on Long Island a little longer. I miss them both very much. The cold rainy weather on Saturday didn't make the weekend any better.
I was off to serve jury duty on Friday so lets start off there. I was not selected for any trials so I won't have to go back for another 5 years. My bosses will be happy about that. I wouldn't have minded being picked. It would have been a new interesting experience. My friend Keith was also picked for jury duty on Friday. It turned out to be a fun day. We had breakfast and lunch in Milford and the court people only admonished us once for talking too loud.
On Saturday I spend most of the day working on private production projects. I still Facetime with Kim and Gracie every night. By accident I took a picture of Gracie during Facetime. It was pretty adorable.
I've learned over the years the best way to keep from getting too down is to keep busy. On Sunday I did my best. I cooked chicken wings, bought my favorite hamburger helper and got my haircut. That's how I look at 4:30 in the morning.
