I think most of us talk to our pets like they're little kids or babies. This is something I don't remember doing when I was younger but I do it now. Maybe it has something to do with having kids. Anyone who has a pet knows they do understand certain things you say to them. I'm convinced my dog Maddie actually understands a lot of what I say to her. It's either that or she's the only one in my family who listens when I talk. If you talk baby talk to your pet keep doing it.
