I've been performing on the radio for over 40 years. Which is very comfortable for me. I don't have to memorize lines or remember where to stand or sit. When I was in high school I loved being on stage too. The only problem was I was not very good at memorizing my lines or remembering where to move. The audience never made me nervous. When a performance went well the applause and taking a bow was awesome. So here we are more than 40 years since I graduated high school and the Sunday School teachers at The United Methodist Church of Matamoras asked me to play a part in their production of the play "Holy Moses." I try to never say no to my church so several months ago I said "sure." Little did we all know how tough it would be to get kids together to rehearse during a pandemic. The wonderful teachers were determined to make this happen. We did three rehearsals last week alone. I agreed to take on a larger part and three more scenes when I was asked to play "pharaoh." We performed the play during our church service yesterday and the congregation loved it. All of the kids did a great job and I'm waiting for a call from Broadway. My weekend also included stopping by the spring open house at S.C.C.C. on Saturday to do some Facebook live interviews for WSUS. The college had a great turnout and it was a beautiful day. In between I managed to plant tomatoes and peppers in my garden. This year I'm growing the cucumbers from seed and 5 of the tiny plants sprouted this weekend. One of my sunflower seeds sprouted too. While I was having a busy weekend. There was a surprise bridal shower for my future daughter in law Jessica. My ex-wife, daughter Kim and grand daughter Gracie were all there. Jess sent me an adorable picture with Miss Gracie after she helped her open her presents. This weekend was full of blessings for me.
