There have been many stories about dumb government officials giving kids a hard time when they open a temporary lemonade stand or earn a few bucks shoveling snow. Thanks to a new law signed by Governor Murphy yesterday. You won't be hearing any of those stories from New Jersey. Republican State Senator Michael Doherty was one of the five legislators to sponsor the legislation. He said: "Instead of giving kids space to learn about entrepreneurship, they're being taught harsh lessons about the heavy hand of government by overzealous bureaucrats." He's been calling attention to the issue for over 5 years. It all started when he heard about two boys being given a hard time by police when they tried to earn money shoveling snow. Back then it was know as the "Right to Shovel" law.
