A High Point State Park employee photographed and measured the first snow of the season early yesterday morning. Shawn Viggiano measured about a quarter of an inch of snow on the grass near the High Point Monument. A temperatures warmed up it didn't last long. The parts highest elevation is 1,800 feet above sea level. It looks like the snow feel everywhere above 1,700 feet according to Viggiano.
