A new report obtained by NJ Advance Media documents serious concerns about Woodland Behavioral Health and Nursing Center. The same facility that made national headlines in April of 2020 when it was named Andover Sub Acute I and II. The newest report made public by the New Jersey Department of Health last week documents dangerous staffing shortages at the facilities that care for more than 450 residents. During one two week period starting in late December not a single day went by with the minimum number of nursing assistants required at Woodland Behavioral Health. Allegations of serious neglect include failing to assist a resident when their catheter was stuck in a wheel chair. The resident was left in that situation for almost an hour. Another disturbing situation took place on New Years Day. When a resident was found not breathing in cardiac arrest and no one made an effort to revive them. The 55 year old was pronounced dead afterwards.
