A New Jersey State Trooper was injured and flown to the hospital Tuesday afternoon on Route 655 in Frankford. State Police spokesman trooper Charles Marchan told NJ Advance Media the trooper was parked on the side of the road with emergency lights activated when a rear end collision took place. The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox that slammed into the back of the police vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The state trooper's injuries were not life threatening. No further details have been released about the crash.
