Last month at Space Farms in Beemerville Stonewall Jackson VI predicted we would have an early spring. While in Pennsylvania Punxsutawney Phil predicted more winter. So far it looks like our local Sussex County ground hog has been correct. Yesterday afternoon around 4:30 the city of Newark had a record high temperature for March 7th. It hit 76 degrees in New Jersey's largest city. Slightly higher than the previous record of 75 set in 1946. In New York City's Central Park the record high for the day was tied. Energy prices are also at record highs. So a warm early spring would be welcome news for most of us. Just remember big snowstorms are pretty common in March and even early April around here. Remember the "Storm of the Century" in 1993. We also got several nor'easters not so long ago in 2018. I'll always remember the April 1st snowstorm back in 1997. Hopefully, this is it for winter. So lets keep our fingers crossed.
