Any idea that allows me to skip mowing my lawn for a while is worthy of attention. An environmental group in Great Britain called "Plant life" is advocating for the idea of letting our lawns grow out in the month of May. They say a "No mow May" will create a much needed home for bees and other pollinators. Those who are no so keen on the idea say it will hurt the landscaping business and provide more breeding ground for ticks. So how about if we compromise? I'll mow my back yard lawn in May because that's where the pool is and where our dogs play. The front lawn will get a final mow around April 30th. Then I won't mow it again until June.
