According to a story first reported by NJ Advance Media. Minor League outfield prospect Jake Sanford has been released by the New York Yankees after allegedly stealing equipment from his teammates. Then he tried to sell the equipment to fans on line. Sanford played college baseball at Western Kentucky. He was drafted and signed by the Yankees in 2019. He spent part of last season playing outfield for the Hudson Valley Renegades. While playing for Hudson Valley he hit 9 home runs and batted .278. Sources says he could have a gambling problem. Very sad.
