This past weekend turned out to be a busy weekend. The nice part is nothing that happened was too intense. My grand kids went to two different birthday parties at the same place on Saturday. Stop, Hop and Roll is a very reasonably priced indoor and outdoor recreation center just outside of Port Jervis. I believe it is run by a church group. The building it's in looks like it used to be an armory or government building of some kind. It not fancy but there are plenty of activities for the kids including roller skating and giant slides. Outside there is a small petting zoo. It's not fancy but kids have fun there. On Sunday the grand kids went to a circus at their elementary school in Matamoras. In between they expected grandpa to be ready to swim with them in the pool. Which was great. I just hope they don't get tired of swimming too soon. So far Miss Gracie is really loving it. We also had some other guests come by to swim. My godson Jay and two of his buddies came by on Friday Night. Then my daughter's friend Andrew stopped over with his daughters on Sunday. I love having people over when the pool is open. On Saturday I put some finishing touches on the yard. Then went to Lowe's to pick up a few things. There were some sad looking geraniums marked down. I'm the nurturing type so I bought a few. They were very cheap. I put them in some pots I had in the shed with fresh potting soil. Then gave them plenty of water. By Sunday Morning they were looking healthy again. Hopefully, they'll bloom all summer. Sunday afternoon the conditions were perfect to wash my Jeep and my Subaru. I wasn't going to go too crazy. Then I got more and more into the project as I did it. Both cars look great now. The absolute best part of washing the cars was doing it with the assistance of my grandson. It brought back fond memories of me helping my dad wash his car when I was about his age. Life's most wonderful moments often come unexpectedly.
