Gas prices have reached $5 a gallon in New Jersey

According to AAA the average price for a gallon of gas in New Jersey topped $5 a gallon for the first time yesterday. The most expensive place to buy gas in New Jersey is Somerset County. Where the average price is now $5.10 a gallon. In Morris County the average price reached $5.05 a gallon yesterday. The "cheapest" gas is in Warren County. Where the average price is $4.96. In Sussex County the average price is $4.97. Across New Jersey the price of gas has risen 15 percent since mid March. Since this time last year we are paying $2 a gallon more. AAA says drivers are still filling their tanks in spite of the high prices. Spokesperson Andrew Gross quoted by NJ Advance Media says: "At some point drivers may chance their daily driving habits." My question is what "driving habit" should we change? If you're like me you have to drive to work. The whole concept of changing our driving habits is moronic. I wonder what would happen if all the people who are forced to pay these prices to get to their jobs refused to go to work until prices came down?
