I live with my daughter and my son Dave. So I see them every day. My other two sons usually drop by on Sunday. Which some weeks is their only day off from work. All of my kids know there are certain things I hardy ever take the time to buy for myself. Those things include summer shorts and shirts, socks and casual footwear. A few years ago I realized they do a much better job picking out things that look nice on me than I do. Before Father's Day I hinted that I needed new sneakers and slides for the summer. Along with a new belt because I've lost about three inches on my waist recently. The end result of doing more walking, exercising and watching my sugar in take. Yesterday I wasn't disappointed. My son Matt got me a new kind of belt that looks great and doesn't have any holes. It works like a ratchet strap. The company is called "Bulliant." Their belts can be adjusted to fit precisely as tight as needed. I love it. My son James gave me a new pair of very comfortable sneakers and cool red Jordan slides. My daughter Kim gave me another pair of slides. All of this new summer footwear is so nice! I still think I'll keep my old slides to mow the lawn. As far as eating goes. On Friday I treated myself to a calzone from Tony's Pizza and Pasta in Hardyston for Father's day. On Sunday we had my favorite which is steak on the grill. I hope all the wonderful dads out there got to feel as loved and appreciated as I always do. Check out some pictures from our Father's Day below.
