If you live in New Jersey or have to come up with trivia questions about the state you know there are a lot of weird things here. Back in 1989 Mark Moran and Mark Sceurman started writing a newsletter about them. That's long before we had websites or podcasts. The newsletter was so popular it became a magazine a few years later. Now Sony Pictures has bought the screen rights to the "Weird N.J." Franchise and plans to produce a T.V. series with that theme. It will be a scripted comedy-horror series about a family "forced by destiny to protect New Jersey from evil." It's being described as "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" meets "Stranger Things." So far there is no word on where the show will air or when production will start.
