My "Few Days Away" Weekend in Pictures

I finally got to take a few days off and enjoy a brief vacation with my grand kids. We had a great time at Knoebel's Amusement Park last year so we returned this year. One thing we found out this summer is how much my grand daughter Gracie likes going on scary rides. She is quite the dare devil. She went on two roller coasters at Knoebel's and loved them. Her grandpa (me) was too chicken! My daughter Kim loves coasters too so it was great to see mom and daughter having a great time together. Gracie and I volunteered to take the stage for a kids show at Knoebel's too. She was a princess and I was the king. It was really fun. I'm still waiting for my call from Hollywood. Each day when we returned to the hotel we spent several hours poolside. There were plenty of kids at the hotel and they were all playing together. Plenty of grand parents enjoying their grand kids too. Just like me.

My grandson is still scared to go on rides. Even the kiddie rides. I hope he out grows that fear by next summer. It warmed my heart to actually hear Gracie and Christopher both saying they missed home during our last night at the hotel. My brief vacation was just long enough for all of us.

Before I left for vacation on Saturday I managed to do a few other worthwhile things including trading in my I Phone 6 for a 13. Hopefully, my kids will stop laughing at me now. I also purchased new headphones. My old pair has been cutting on and off. Which is pretty disorientating when you're doing a live radio show.

One last thing: Before we left Sunday Morning I made one of my famous ham, pepper and cheese omelettes. The green peppers came right out of my garden. The omelettes were absolutely fantastic. I hope you enjoy all of the pictures below.
