I remember "spelling" being a subject in elementary school. For countless years each week we had to write each word 10 times. Do kids still have to do that these days? Of course now our phones and computers help us with spelling. Sometimes automatically correcting what we spell wrong. Who knows how they did it. The folks at "unscrambled words" used Google data and were able to figure out what word each of the 50 states needs the most help spelling. Some of the results were pretty comical. In Nevada the word the most residents can't spell is "seizure." West Virginia and Idaho need the most help spelling "West Virginia" and "Idaho." Folks in Tennessee can spell Tennessee but can't spell "pneumonia." I can't spell Tennessee! The word New Jersey has the most trouble with is "Thousand." I could go for a good game of Scrabble right now!
