This weekend I talked to my step brother in Midland, Texas. A few weeks ago I spoke with a cousin I'm very close to in Arizona. Both want me to visit them very soon. So this weekend I started checking on flights and prices. What I found out was that flying has gotten a lot more expensive. That's not surprising considering who is running the government right now. My major concern is inconvenience. What are the chances my flight will be cancelled or seriously delayed? The answer can be found in a recent survey by Flight Aware. Quick answer: the chances are still pretty good.
According to the Flight Aware research Newark Liberty and LaGuardia Airports were the worst in the U.S.A for cancellations. Almost 7 percent of all flights leaving from those two airports get cancelled. Topping the list for worst flight delays was Chicago's Midway Airport. JFK and Newark made that top 10 list too. Coming in 4th and 5th respectively. I honestly love to travel. But I don't think I have the patience for the potential chaos yet.
