Daisy went missing from her home in Tennessee almost 2 years ago. The Price Family had no idea what happened to their beloved Bloodhound. They never gave up hope of finding her because they continued to pay the monthly fee for Daisy's micro chip service even after she went missing. That investment paid off last month when Daisy was rescued from an animal hoarder's home in Ocean County. She was one of 180 dogs and cats discovered by the county health department. All of the animals in the alleged puppy mill were living in filthy conditions. Most of them are up for adoption now. Ocean County Officials checked all of the dogs and cats for microchips. Daisy was one of only two of the animals to have one.
On New Years Day the Price Family was reunited with Daisy after driving 11 hours from Tennessee to claim her. It is believed she was passed from owner to owner before she wound up with all of the other dogs and cats at the home in Brick Township.
