Hyejeong Shin is facing several charges after she used a false birth certificate to enroll in New Brunswick High School. The 29 year old interacted with teachers and students while attending classes for 4 days. Before school officials realized they had been duped. School Superintendent Aubrey Johnson has promised a review of all school enrollment procedures. Parents have been notified and students have been instructed to have no contact with Shin. The state of New Jersey allows unaccompanied minors to register for school. Shin took advantage of that law. Providing a false birth certificate that said she was under 18.
