I love going to Sheetz. The hot dogs, fries and chicken sandwiches are great. Too bad we don't have one nearby in Pike County. The last time I went to Sheetz was several months ago in Harrisburg. I never realized the company has a stated policy against hiring people with broken teeth or dental problems. Sheetz now says they are reviewing their "smile policy." In the employee handbook the company says: " applicants with obvious missing, broken or badly discolored teeth will not be considered for employment." Sheetz now says their are reviewing this policy to " ensure our policies are aligned with Sheetz commitment to foster a culture of respect."
To be perfectly honest if someone does not brush their teeth and is not clean I'd rather them not touch my food. At the same time some people do have dental problems they can't afford to fix. How about if they just look at each applicant on an individual basis. Instead of going to extremes.
