Gas prices still aren't as low as they were just a few years ago. The good news is they're over a dollar cheaper per gallon than last year at this time. AAA says the average price of a gallon of gas in New Jersey is $3.21. Last year at this time it was $4.21. Economists expect gas prices to stay pretty stable because of recession fears. Even though spring means more drivers will be on the road. New York and Pennsylvania drivers are paying slightly more than their New Jersey neighbors. In New York $3.42 and in Pennsylvania $3.55.
I miss 2020. When the average gas price was $2.17 per gallon.
