A desperate search by Sullivan County Law Enforcement agencies and volunteers has been going on for days. They're looking for 35 year old Harold Hoyt a resident of Glen Spey, New York. Hoyt and a friend were driving early in the morning along Galligan Road in Forestburgh this past Thursday. His truck got a flat tire and ran out of gas. Both men set out in different directions to find help in the heavily wooded area. According to Hoyt's sister the friend made it home safely but didn't report anything to the police for more than a day. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office has questioned the friend several times while hundreds of volunteers and officers have been searching woods where Hoyt was last seen. Hoyt is 6 foot 3 and about 175 pounds. The family is hoping he is hurt or disoriented but still alive. Anyone with any information should call the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.
