Their young and already working hard to be there when people need them the most. Vernon Township High School's Health Occupations Students of America sent 11 students to a recent competition. A total of six students placed. All of them were already volunteers with either the Vernon Township or Glenwood Pochuck Volunteer Ambulance squads. Two students Dan Lovett and Marissa Ajamian of the Vernon Township Ambulance Squad placed second statewide. Avery Crafton and Sophie Van Den Broek of the Glenwood Pochuck and Vernon Squads placed third. All of these great kids are dedicated volunteers and full time high school students.
The HOSA National Conference is taking place in Dallas June 21st through 24th. Since Dan and Marissa are seniors they won't be able to go because the days conflict with their graduation. A Go Fund Me Page has been set up in hopes of raising enough money to send Avery and Sophie to Dallas. Who are both Juniors this year.
