It's easy to figure out why really young kids from New York are being recruited to steal high end cars in New Jersey. They don't go to jail. Over the weekend police in Paramus arrested two 16 year old kids and a 13 year old near a Mercedes Benz dealership on Route 17. They were part of a group of kids that took off after police spotted one boy sitting in a Mercedes Benz next door to the dealership. Another group of teens was discovered in a service bay in the dealership. Many were in possession of key fobs allegedly stolen from the same dealership. All of the teens were from Manhattan or the Bronx. The parents of all the young people involved were contacted to come and pick their up. They have a future date in Bergen County Family Court.
I hope they find a way to arrest the adults who recruited these kids and give them serious jail time.
