Over 20 West Milford High School Seniors were given three day in school suspensions last week after videos their senior prank went viral on social media. While some people who saw the videos commented that it was "vandalism" even "criminal." Others including the principal of the school Matthew Strianse said what the students did was not "egregious" and "a time honored tradition." A letter from the principal says on June 8th several seniors hung toilet paper, spread out shredded paper and put dry dog food on desks. They also stacked towers of books and rolled out wrestling mats in the gym. Where they also wrote "messages of endearment" to some teachers. The following day the students volunteered to clean up the mess they made. None of this was enough to satisfy members of the board of education. Who voted to suspend more than 20 of the students involved at a special meeting on June 14th. Many of the students involved went to the meeting and tried to speak but were denied the opportunity according to parent Lori Eckhart.
