The borough forester in Kinnelon has fined a local resident $32,000 for cutting down 32 trees on his neighbor's property without a permit. Grant Haber on Denise Drive in Kinnelon has been accused of having the work done and he's been fined $1,000 per tree. John Linson who is the borough forester would not elaborate further on a now viral social media post. However, he did say the cost of the damage done by removing the trees and having to replant them could reach over $1 Million. Haber and his attorney Matthew Meuller have not commented on why Haber had the trees removed. Yesterday Meuller said he needed more time to review the discovery in the case. So everybody will be back in court next month. The two contractors who cut down all the trees have also been fined.
