Christine Kiedaisch always drives to work along Route 206 in Burlington County. This week she saw something she never expected to see. An injured bald eagle struggling in the south bound lanes. Kiedaisch knew she couldn't just leave the raptor there to eventually get hit again. So she stopped and got out of her car. Then redirected traffic away from where the raptor was and carried it to safety. Then she called the police. The very fortunate bald eagle is now being treated at the Mercer County Wildlife Center.
Kiedaisch told NJ.COM: "The thought of the danger he could have done to me wasn't even in my mind. It was just a matter of " I have to get him out of the road. He's still alive."
