Oak Ridge resident Pamela Van Syckle made her first Federal Court appearance in Newark yesterday. U.S. Attorney Phillip Sellinger is alleging the U.S. Postal Worker collected more than $155,000 in federal disability payments while working at her own travel agency in Jefferson. Sellinger said Van Syckle "Signed and filed multiple federal claim forms alleging she had not worked or had outside employment." This went on for three years. The U.S. Attorney's charges say: "Based on the submission of those claim forms Van Syckle received more than $155,000 in federal disability benefits.
Van Syckle owns and operates Kingdom Konsultants Travel in Jefferson. She was released after posting a $100,000 unsecured bond.
