New Jersey Transit Machinist Jeremy Hayes has been charged with stealing 32 locomotive air horns. Each one of those horns could be worth up to $2000.00 The charges were filed in Roxbury Municipal Court. Hayes has been suspended from his job with New Jersey Transit. The U.S. Department of Transportation completed their investigation last month. Hayes allegedly stole the air horns from CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads. He did not take any from New Jersey Transit.
