People in New Jersey bought more than $3.7 Billion worth of lottery tickets last year. An increase of 2.5 percent over last year. All those lottery tickets sold added $1.17 Billion to the state's pension fund. Powerball and Mega Millions were the two top sellers. Sales of scratch offs, pick 3 and pick 4 decreased a little bit. There were 221 New Jersey residents who won over $100,000.
