Amy Smyth Murphy was out for a walk along the beach at Corsen's Inlet State Park last month when she found a green bottle on the beach. When she returned to her beach house she opened the bottle and found several pieces of paper which could go as far back as 1876. One piece of paper was a business card from a gentleman's store in Philadelphia. The other was a hand written note that mentions a well known Atlantic City yacht. Smyth Murphy says " It's just so interesting to be connected to people in this way." If you were wondering what the inside of the bottle smelled like she said " The bay smell times 1 million." It is believed the bottle might have been dredged up by a beach fill project the Army Corps of Engineers is working on nearby.
