My "Wild and Wet" Weekend in Pictures

My weekend started early. I took vacation days from WSUS on Thursday and Friday to spend some fun times with Gracie and Chris. My daughter didn't want to go far from home so we stayed local and visited two of my favorite local attractions. Thursday was a perfect day for Mountain Creek. Gracie and Chris are still a little young for the more intense slides there. They love the wave pool. That's where we spent the afternoon. Gracie and Kim also wanted to go on the Colorado River Ride. I went with them and took Chris with me. When we were on line one of the young men running the ride had to check to see if Chris was tall enough. He just made it. I jokingly asked if people over 60 could still go on the ride. He said "you're over 60. you look great." That made my day! Mountain Creek was a wonderful day. The food there was very good too.

On Friday we went to Space Farms. Since my grand kids couldn't come with me on Junior Zookeeper's Day I wanted to bring them to the zoo before summer ended. My long time friend retired zookeeper Lori Space Day met us there. Chris and Gracie had some special learning experiences with Lori and Hunter Space. They watched Hunter feed the tigers and mountain lions. They fed the bears and deer with Lori. Chris loved seeing the snakes. It was a really nice day and we even enjoyed some Extreme Pizza before we left.

On Saturday we enjoyed some time in the pool and I got to try out the Blackstone Grill my son Matt gave me. The New York Strip Steaks came out great. Saturday Night my daughter and the grand kids were away. I started to watch some documentaries on Netflix. Then I felt motivated to finish painting the living room. So I got off the couch and painted my living room ceiling. While I continued to watch Netflix. It was a late night but I finished the job.

On Sunday I cleaned out my Subaru and rested. The painting project took a lot out of me. When everyone got home we made sausage and peppers. I wanted to use the Blackstone again but it was raining. So I used our good old frying pan. I hope you had a great weekend too.
