I can still remember the day like it was yesterday. It's hard to believe 23 years have passed. So many who are alive today don't remember or were not alive 23 years ago. Many others including my colleagues who shared many hours of live coverage on WSUS that day have passed as well. While he was waiting to hear if his own brother survived the attacks at the World Trade Center Vince Thomas was on the air with me. Several times as the magnitude of tragic events unfolded I could think of the need to pray for the victims, their families and our nation. My friend Pastor Ed Casey from the Stockholm United Methodist Church prayed with our listeners. He passed away many years ago as well. The total number of lives lost has been revised several times. The official death toll at The World Trade Center, The Pentagon and outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania is 2,977. Each one of them left behind families and people who still love and miss them. Port Authority Police Lieutenant Robert Cirri was a friend of mine.
