When I woke up Saturday morning the snow was a big surprise. In Matamoras it was more slush than show, My friends in Dingmans's Ferry and Vernon got 4 inches! My ride through High Point State Park Saturday Morning was beautiful. My busy weekend started with replacing my hot water heater Friday afternoon. I'm lucky a very good friend of mine is a plumber. He came up as soon as he could to get our hot water flowing again. On Saturday Morning there was a metal recycling event at Christopher's Pre School Sunshine Station in Milford. It was a fund raiser for Tri State Family and Pregnancy Center. A donation of 20 bucks allowed me to recycle some old yard furniture, a TV and broken appliances. Then it was on to Nielsen Kia for their Saturday Pet Adoption Event with Father John's Animal House. The weather was not great but folk's were buying Kia's and playing with the dogs was great fun. Nielsen Kia donated $100 dollars to Father John's for every Kia sold. I also managed to consume 2 cheeseburgers and a hot dog! On Sunday I cleaned the house and food shopped. When my grand kids came home they still had a lot of energy. So in hopes of wearing them out for bed we played with water balloons on my deck. It was cold but at least we were filling the balloons with warm water. My strategy to wear out Chris and Gracie only half worked. When we came inside they had less energy but they were hungry. Their latest food binge is ham and cheese sandwiches. I made quite a few of them before everyone finally settled down.
