This is really scary. Last night on The Ingraham Angle U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed air traffic controllers responsible for the skies over Newark Airport lost contact with all planes for 30 seconds. He said the "primary communication" line failed and the back up did not "fire." Duffy insisted no one was in danger because of the brief failure: "Now were planes going to crash? No. They have communication devices. But it's a sign we have a frail system in place and it has to be fixed." Duffy plans to release a plan this Thursday asking Congress for Billions of dollars to address infrastructure and staffing problems. If you fly out of Newark this can't happen fast enough.
