I love when my grand children star in My Weekend in Pictures posts. This weekend's stars are my grand daughter Charlotte and grandson Christopher. Charlotte just turned one. This is the first Christmas she is aware of her surroundings. On Saturday night we decided to take her to the Skylands Stadium Christmas Light Show. Both of my sons went. Matt with his wife Jess and Charlotte. My son James went with his girlfriend. The lights were stunning and beautiful as always. We had a fantastic time. Charlotte's first visit with Santa was a little too much though. She is still mommy and daddy's girl. Meanwhile, my grandson Christopher celebrated his 6th birthday on Friday. He made the excellent choice of Oreo ice cream cake. Seeing the joy on his face as we sang happy birthday warmed my heart. He truly loved everything we did to make his day extra special.
I had to get several other things done this weekend too. First was going to the eye doctor for new glasses. I've been wearing glasses I haven't liked for a whole year. Waiting for our vision plan to pay for new ones. I'll never get transitions lenses again. My new glasses actually come with clip on sunglasses. In my opinion well worth the extra money. My home improvement project involved eliminating as many drafts around my house as possible. I bought plastic to put around some windows we don't usually open. I think that really helps.
